The design layout has been intricately painted in the Gond style of painting that originates from a traditional tribe of Madhya Pradesh. Each element of the layout has been carefully painted with as much attention to detail as possible by our artisans and craft makers through a paint brush using acrylic colours.
Ribbon Journal
One of the most beautiful ways of designing a journal or diary is through a ‘dori’. We revamped the culture and present to you our ribbon tied journals. The diary has been laced with ribbons delicately in a zig-zag manner as it adds to elegance. The paper is handmade with recycled cotton paper and the ribbon work is inspired by our artisans knitting patterns. Once again, the brushed designs are inspired by Gond art and executed by our artisans and craft makers in Madhya Pradesh. The most beautiful thing about a diary or a note pad is that they have a story to tell, just like us at Corner Art Store.

We aim to excite you for the love of jotting your thoughts down on paper, just like we did in the passé times. It’s important that the union of pen to paper continues. Our collection has been painted by our artisans by hand. The inspiration for the designs is from art form known as Madhubani. It’s a style of painting that originates from the village of Maithili, in the Bihar state of eastern India. The original paintings are made by women on the walls of their homes, to record their aspirations, thoughts and hopes.
